Clerk I - Campus Technology
Location : Technology Services (Campus Tech)
Term Of Employment : 12-Month Position; Full-Time
Starting Date : As Soon As Possible
Salary Range : $18.50 - $25.00 per hour
Duties :
- Performs the more difficult and complex clerical tasks
- Schedules, coordinates, and monitors workflow within the department as well as with other departments throughout the district
- Conducts correspondence on matters in which policies and procedures are well defined in regard to technology within the district
- Responds to requests from other departments regarding policies, procedures, and pertinent laws
- Assists in the collection, preparation, and review of departmental data
- Assists in hardware, software, and web-based subscription ordering, tracking, deployment, invoicing, and retirement across the district
- Responsible for overseeing and maintaining accurate inventory records (hardware and software) across the district
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft resources and WinCap Financial preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Other duties as requested by the supervisor

Civil Service eligibility for Clerk I : Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma, plus either :Four (4) years of paid full-time or its part-time or volunteer equivalent office clerical or secretarial experienceAn associate degree in Secretarial Science, Office Technology, or a closely related field, plus two (2) years of experience as described in (A) aboveAn equivalent combination of education and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) aboveSuccessful completion of one (1) year of college coursework (or 30 semester credit hours) from a New York State registered or regionally accredited college or university may be substituted for up to one (1) year of the required experienceExperience as a Teller, Cashier or Salesclerk shall not be considered office clerical experienceStrong interpersonal skills greeting visitors and callers, and in interactions with students and staff membersExcellent organizational skills and ability to work under pressureExcellent communication skillsExcellent phone and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently, as well as, part of a teamAbility to handle confidential material appropriatelySchool office experience preferredExperience with Special Education Procedures PreferredPhysically able to perform essential functions of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation)
