Responsibilities

Advanced R&D Engineer Scientist forUOP LLC (Des Plaines IL)

RESPONSIBILITES :

• Develop process design and technoeconomic evaluations which are critical to the development and support of new process technologies from their inception in R&D through the commercialization stage.
• Work with other members of the Development organization as well as UOPs Engineering Department Research Group and Business Team.
• Develop simulations material balances preliminary equipment designs and utilities estimates for new process technology concepts based on preliminary yield & performance estimates.
• Use commercial process simulation software to establish the basis for the evaluation and optimization of design concepts.
• Perform techno-economic analyses (TEAs) of process concepts including the assessment of key parameters impacting process profitability safety and reliability.
• Generate Basic Engineering Packages (BEPs) for new process technologies as the primary means of transferring new process technologies from R&D to Engineering.
