This is a newly created, high-impact 6-month contract position focused on the rapid integration and optimization of transportation operations from a recently acquired business unit into the broader corporate logistics network. The mission is fast, measurable cost reduction and process harmonization across a national and international footprint. Success hinges on speed, analytical rigor, and the ability to influence and align internal teams toward standardized, lower-cost processes. If you've previously stepped into newly acquired or under-optimized operations, delivered quantifiable freight savings and thrive in fast-paced integration projects, this short-term assignment is built for you.

Requirements :

• 8+ years in transportation / distribution operations with a proven track record of delivering large-scale cost-reduction or process-improvement projects inside complex organizations.
• 3+ years in a managerial role
• Demonstrated strength in influencing internal stakeholders (warehouse, procurement, and operations teams) to adopt new processes and achieve financial targets — internal "change leadership" experience is more important than carrier rate negotiation in this role.
• Exceptional analytical horsepower and a bias for rapid execution; you can digest disparate data sources, spot savings opportunities, and move to implementation within days or weeks.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills — the acquired teams are collaborative but will need clear direction and partnership to move quickly.
• Hands-on experience with multiple ERPs and niche transportation systems is a plus (exposure to smaller / regional ERPs and legacy platforms is especially valuable).
• Working knowledge of Reconex or similar customer-facing TMS platforms is beneficial.
• Experience operating in an environment where full inbound tracking capabilities are still being built.
