Case Manager (Independent Living Specialist)

Lloyd Staffing is working with a non-profit organization dedicated to managing homeless shelters throughout New York City. We are currently seeking motivated individuals to join their team in various boroughs.

Lloyd is HIRING IMMEDIATELY :

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES :   INDEPENDENT LIVING SPECIALIST

• Provide comprehensive case management services to a challenging caseload of mentally ill, homeless adults.
• Assist with obtaining benefits, referrals for treatment, monitoring hygiene and teaching independent living skills, escorts to and advocacy for entitlements and housing appointments, and housing placement.
• Facilitate weekly psycho educational group.
• Generate ongoing progress and group notes as well as monthly statistical reports.
• Participate in clinical team, case conference, and other staff meetings.
• Provide emergency first aid / CPR assistance when needed.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS : High School Diploma / GED required ( THIS WILL BE VERIFIED - DO NOT APPLY IF YOU CAN NOT PROVE YOU HAVE A HS DIPLOMA OR GED

REQUIREMENTS :

Minimum two years’ experience working with homeless, mentally ill, or MICA population required, Computer skills, Written and verbal' skills, HS Diploma / GED required

GED OR High School Diploma ( There will be a background check for Education )

SCHEDULE : Monday - Friday

7 : 00AM - 3 : 00PM

Job Types : Full-time, Contract, Temporary

Salary : $18.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours : 37.5 per week
