Title : Social Emotional Learning Coordinator
Department / Location : Programming
Reports to : Social Emotional Learning Program Manager
Exempt / Non-Exempt : Non-Exempt
The SEL Coordinator is responsible for the implementation and delivery of Social Emotional activities with the goal to support students to develop healthy identities, manage emotions, establish and maintain supportive relationships, and make responsible and caring decisions. The SEL program also includes Bullying Prevention, Drug and Violence Prevention, Character and Leadership, Mentoring, and Health & Life Skills. The SEL coordinator is responsible for creating a trauma informed approach and culture by working in collaboration with club staff, family members and community partners.
Key Roles (Essential Responsibilities) :
In keeping with the BGCA Formula for Impact objectives effectively implement and administer programs, services and activities for members that are fun, educational and engaging.
Skills & Knowledge Required :
Bachelor’s degree in Social Services / Human Services or Youth and Families.
