We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer with a Professional Engineer (PE) license to join our growing team.
- Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Structural Engineer (PE) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and executing structural design projects from concept through completion while ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. The ideal candidate is experienced in producing and stamping shop drawings, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards. Federal project experience is strongly preferred.
- Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design for a variety of projects, with an emphasis on federal facilities.
- Maintain a high level of quality control on deliverables.
- Prepare, review, and stamp structural drawings, calculations, and specifications.
- Oversee preparation of shop drawings, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
- Collaborate with architects, project managers, and other engineering disciplines to develop integrated project solutions.
- Conduct field investigations, site visits, and inspections as needed.
- Ensure all work meets federal, state, and local building codes and applicable design standards.
- Qualifications
- Active PE license in Structural or Civil Engineering (required)
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 5+ years of structural engineering experience (federal project experience strongly preferred).
- Proven experience producing and stamping shop drawings and structural design packages.
- Proficiency with structural design software (e.g., RISA, SAP2000, STAAD, RAM, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of IBC, ACI, AISC, and other applicable codes / standards.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate across multiple disciplines.
- Preferred Experience
- Prior engineering work on federal government projects (VA, DoD, GSA, Corps of Engineers, etc.)
- Familiarity with federal project submittal processes, quality control standards, and compliance requirements.
- Experience working in a design-build environment
Job Type : Full-time
Pay : $90,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
