Position Overview

The Business Development Specialist plays a critical role in advancing SBBCC’s growth strategy. This position is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, strengthening client and partner relationships, leading pursuit efforts, and supporting corporate marketing initiatives. The role requires a proactive, relationship-driven professional who can balance strategy, technical knowledge, and communication skills to successfully position SBBCC in a competitive marketplace.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Client Engagement

• Proactively identify, develop, and maintain relationships with clients, industry partners, and small / disadvantaged businesses.
• Represent SBBCC at industry events, pre-bid meetings, and community functions.
• Collaborate with estimating, preconstruction, and operations teams to support pursuit strategies.
• Maintain opportunity / pursuit logs and provide feedback on won / lost opportunities to strengthen future pursuits.
