Description

Purpose of Role

Develops and maintains the software, applications, and integrations used to support Yamaha business goals.

Key Accountabilities Include

  • Supports front end software code deliverables to meet Yamaha business requirements
  • Supports the code development process to ensure Yamaha software quality
  • Understands and applies Yamaha guidelines to ensure a positive customer experience

Primary Responsibilities Include

  • Learns to follow Yamaha brand style guidelines
  • Learns to follow Yamaha SEO best practices in front end development
  • Learns to follow Yamaha current WCAG best practices

  • Accessibility : Design and develop web content for individuals with disabilities in accordance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1, at Levels A and AA
  • Customer Experience : Define desired customer experience to achieve satisfaction and loyalty throughout the customer journey
  • Digital Development : Design, develop, and maintain websites and online applications used by customers
  • Digital Development - IT : Design, develop, and maintain digital marketing stack, websites, and online applications used by customers
  • Search Engine Optimization (SEO) : Increase quality and quantity of website traffic and brand exposure through organic, non-paid search engine results
  • UI / UX Design : Design the aesthetics of a digital product; plan the experience a person has when they interact with a digital product

    • Qualifications

    Ideal

  • Experienced in application of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1, at Levels A and AA for website and mobile application design and development
  • Experience creating website wireframes
  • Language experience : Adobe XD (or similar tool), JavaScript, CSS, HTML
  • Basic understanding of SEO factors in web page and website design and development

    • Preferred

  • Experience working in enterprise PM tool like JIRA or Workfront
  • BS in Computer Science
