Plant Manager (Food Manufacturing)

Location : Brockton, MA

Reports To : Director of Operations

Compensation : $140,000 – $170,000 annually

Benefits : Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, 401(k)

We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Plant Manager to lead our food manufacturing facility in Brockton, MA. This role is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day plant operations while ensuring safety, quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. The Plant Manager will play a key leadership role in building high-performing teams, driving operational excellence, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all aspects of plant operations, including production, materials, quality assurance, and systems support.
  • Drive performance in safety, quality, service, cost, and inventory management.
  • Analyze plant metrics to identify trends and implement data-driven improvements.
  • Coordinate production schedules to meet customer and market demands.
  • Develop and implement policies that improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Maintain inspection-readiness across all operations.
  • Oversee and enforce FIFO inventory practices.
  • Manage production variances and resolve customer issues.
  • Hire, mentor, and lead production staff and frontline leadership teams.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and employee engagement.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and evaluations.
  • Ensure adherence to accident prevention and plant security policies.

Qualifications

Required :

  • Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of leadership experience in food manufacturing OR Associate's degree with 10+ years of experience.
  • Strong background in production, quality, or engineering within food manufacturing.
  • Proven leadership skills with a track record of building effective teams.
  • Knowledge of processing equipment and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Preferred :

  • Experience in a unionized environment with contract administration exposure.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally across multiple departments.
  • Strategic mindset with a global perspective on business operations.
