JOB SUMMARY :
Provides support to Operational Clients and the Talent Acquisition Department by partnering interviewing assessing candidates coordinating and supporting second interviews and interacting / assisting Operational Clients and Hiring Managers to make sound hiring decisions for Hourly and Non-Exempt positions. This includes sourcing recruiting screening interviewing recommending finalists and making job offers to both internal and external candidates within the defined services and performances criteria. Performs the necessary administrative responsibilities included throughout the hiring process.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Determine applicant qualifications by interviewing Hourly and Non-Exempt applicants face to face phone screen or computer (Skype); analyzing responses; and comparing qualifications to job requirements (which includes up-to-date knowledge of the skills and abilities required for each role). Make hiring decisions for roles not requiring management interviews by extending job offers or communicating no interest to the candidate. Identify candidates for alternate roles when applicable. Schedule candidate interviews for positions requiring Management second interviews. Utilize current staffing systems to prepare and complete relevant new hire paperwork documents and ensure its accuracy.
- Partner and collaborate with Operational Leadership to identify staffing needs for Hourly and Non-Exempt roles for positions / areas to include key competencies backgrounds education and skills. Plan organize and coordinate the second interview process and hiring events with hiring managers when applicable. Coach management on interviews and assist with making solid hiring decisions.
- Review on-line applications / resumes and sources on employment websites to help identify viable candidates. Build and maintain talent pipelines of qualified candidates and referral sources for future placements. Perform targeted candidate searches using active and passive sourcing strategies to include internal talent employee referrals online application / resume and CRM submissions through on-property and off-site job fairs / hiring events and community outreach online job boards / resume databases and social media. Assists with scheduling interview appointments via phone and email and follows-up on inquiries etc.
- Represent Universal Orlando at both on-property and off-site job fairs expos high schools and community events. Complete preparation and follow-up duties for events and actively participates in the event to include promoting available job information encouraging application interviewing and job offers.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy procedures training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
SCOPE :
An individual in this job must maintain confidential information on a regular basis ensure compliance of all employment laws follow all procedures in the recruitment interviewing offer and hiring processes determining and delivering the hiring decision (whether yes or no) all while displaying a high degree of tact and guest service. The job requires regular decision making skills based on knowledge of park roles and responsibilities to ensure right fit placement. This role does not have any direct reports.
EDUCATION :
High school degree or GED is required.Associates degree (AA) or Bachelors (BA) degree in Human Resources Psychology Business Communication preferred.EXPERIENCE :
One to three years in Hospitality and / or office environment preferred.One to three years in Human Resources required.Or equivalent combination of education and experience.ADDITIONAL INFORMATION :
Role will occasionally include travel to off-site job fairs and hiring events.Travel may involve using a personal or company vehicle.Your talent skills and experience will be rewarded with a competitive compensation package.
