Asphalt Paver Operator

Highway Asphalt Construction

Assist in the tasks associated with the construction of asphalt pavement on highway construction. Operate the paver equipment that lays down the asphalt pavement and keep track of how much asphalt is being laid.

Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions :

• Perform duties to set up paving equipment for the operation to maintain smooth, consistent, and correctly aligned lay down asphalt.
• Perform light mechanical adjustments and assist with mechanical repairs on assigned equipment.
• Check all fluid levels at the beginning of engine startup for the day and monitor gauges, fluid levels, operation, and function through the entire day operation and clean the paver and the end of the day.
• Adhere to all safe practices and procedures.
• Other assigned duties as assigned.
