Camp Counselor

This is a seasonal recreational position and is responsible for the safety and well being of a group of children participating in programs at a recreation facility or County recreation program. Work involves leadership and instruction responsibilities to children. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES : Instructs, monitors and leads children in games, crafts, sports, and other recreational activities. Organizes and conducts contests, tournaments, displays, and other group activities. Maintains the safety of assigned group of children at field trip locations and during transportation to and from field trip locations. Investigates and reports accidents as required by regulations. Performs cleaning and light maintenance of assigned group area. Responsible for the safety and security of children at a facility; maintains safe conditions at a facility.
