Key Responsibilities :
Supervise and direct the activities of nursing assistants and resident care team members in compliance with regulations and company policies.Utilize the nursing model to support comprehensive care for residents.Ensure that nursing staff adhere to all policies and procedures.Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers of residents as necessary.Monitor residents' health status, communicate changes to physicians and families, and document observations accurately.Transcribe and implement physician orders as required.Administer medications as prescribed and monitor for side effects.Perform wound care and document changes as necessary.Schedule follow-up appointments and organize transportation for residents as needed.Provide nursing leadership and guidance to assigned personnel.Deliver direct care including colostomy changes, tube feedings, and IV administration per established protocols.Conduct rounds to ensure resident needs are met and staff responsibilities are fulfilled.Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to meet residents' comprehensive needs.Report incidents or unusual occurrences to leadership promptly.Manage medication and supply inventories, reporting needs as they arise.Initiate and update care plans as required.Participate in surveys and inspections as directed.Engage in quality assurance and performance improvement activities as assigned.Implement infection control practices consistently and resolve deficiencies as they appear.Perform additional duties as assigned.Requirements :
Education : Nursing degree from an accredited institution.Licenses / Certifications : Current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the practicing state.Experience : Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience preferred.Skills & Abilities :
