Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Macon, Georgia. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining efficient payment processes. This position is ideal for someone with strong organizational and analytical skills who pays close attention to detail.

Responsibilities :

• Process invoices and ensure proper coding for accurate record-keeping.
• Reconcile accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
• Conduct check runs and verify payment details to meet deadlines.
• Perform data entry tasks with precision to maintain accurate financial records.
• Manage invoice processing, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Utilize tools such as Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for daily operations.
• Collaborate with team members to streamline accounts payable workflows.
• Generate reports and provide updates on payment statuses as required.
• Assist in maintaining organized documentation for audits and reviews. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role.
• Strong knowledge of account reconciliation and invoice coding.
• Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial processes.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• Solid understanding of check runs and payment processing.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Familiarity with financial documentation and auditing procedures.
