Intake and Billing Specialist – Shared Services Home Health Care

Location : EHM Senior Solutions, Saline, MI (In-Office Position)

Schedule : Full-Time, Monday – Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 4 : 30 PM or 8 : 30 AM – 5 : 00 PM, with weekend on-call rotation and rotating holidays

About the Role

As an Intake and Billing Specialist, you will play a key role in managing administrative tasks related to intake, billing, and compliance for our home health care division. Your expertise will help maintain operational efficiency and regulatory adherence while supporting the needs of our clients and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily office operations, including patient intake, scheduling, and admissions.
  • Oversee billing processes and manage documentation requests (ADRs).
  • Ensure compliance with Medicare, CHAP, and other regulatory standards.
  • Maintain accurate records and filing systems to support smooth operations.
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve administrative and operational challenges efficiently.
  • Participate in a weekend on-call rotation to support operational needs.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; college education preferred.
  • 1–2 years of medical billing experience in a Medicare-certified home health agency.
  • Strong knowledge of Medicare billing, including RAPs monitoring, pre-billing, chart audits, NOAs, private pay billing, and insurance verification.
  • Experience working with various EHR systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skill s .
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional 1–2 years of Medicare-certified home health agency billing experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Self-starter with strong time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 codes and medical terminology.
