Senior Photovoltaics Engineer

Description

As a Senior Photovoltaics Engineer, you will develop spacecraft solar panels and analyze and test their lifetime degradation properties. You will work closely with manufacturing engineers, supply chain specialists, materials engineers, technicians, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers and others to develop modern high-quality cost-effective solar solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop silicon solar panels for spaceflight applications
• Analyze solar cell power generation across operating conditions and lifetime
• Evaluate and mitigate the sources of degradation in solar cells
• Work with a cross-disciplinary team to determine requirements for future array developments
• Select materials and topologies to maximize performance at a cost-effective price point
• Develop and execute qualification test campaigns specific to spacecraft solar panels

Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options , and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan .
