SQL Server Data and Analytics Specialist

Our client is seeking a skilled SQL Server Data and Analytics Specialist to join a collaborative, high-performing team focused on delivering custom data solutions. This individual will apply advanced SQL expertise and problem-solving skills to support complex business initiatives. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, adaptable, and capable of translating analytical insights into practical, business-aligned outcomes. Strong communication and consultative abilities are key to success in this role.

This role is fully remote. Candidates must be located in the following states : AZ, DC, FL, IL, KS, MO, NY, NC, OH, OR, TN, MD, NJ, SC, VA, WA, AL, CO, CT, DE, GA, ID, IN, KY, LA, MA, MI, MN, NV, OK, PA, TX, UT, or WI.

SQL Server Data and Analytics Specialist Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and troubleshoot T-SQL code to support a variety of data and analytics needs.
  • Analyze and optimize large, complex datasets for performance and usability.
  • Collaborate with team members and project leads to align technical solutions with project requirements.
  • Consult with internal stakeholders to clarify business needs and translate them into actionable data strategies.
  • Manage workload priorities and timelines while communicating progress and potential challenges effectively.

SQL Server Data and Analytics Specialist Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience working with SQL Server or other relational database systems.
  • Expert-level proficiency in T-SQL development and query optimization.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle large datasets and perform in-depth data analysis.
  • 5+ years of experience delivering technical solutions in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the flexibility to pivot between priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a consultative approach to stakeholder engagement.
  • Compensation : $70-$80 / hr. (DOE)
