Description of Primary Duties
The position is a 9-month, tenure-track faculty appointment in Animal Science and Equine Science program areas. We are seeking a candidate with experience and expertise in reproductive physiology. Teaching responsibilities; instructing standard load of nine undergraduate and / or graduate course credits per academic semester, advising, and supporting both undergraduate and graduate students as well as providing access to high impact practices for increasing student retention, persistence, and success. Research responsibilities; development of an active research program involving undergraduate and graduate (MS) students that results in peer-reviewed publications and applications for extramural funding to support research. The position offers the opportunity to focus on equine reproduction, nutrition, health, physiology, or related disciplines. Candidates should engage in service to the school, college, and university. Minimum Acceptable Qualifications The minimum acceptable qualifications for the position of Associate Professor are prescribed in the Faculty Handbook. Positions associated with this position classification may include job duties, responsibilities, or activities that are subject to export control regulations. Additional Qualifications - in Animal Science or a closely related field.
