Cardiology Physician

Job Description :

• Reason for coverage : Open position with a need for coverage.
• Coverage schedule : minimum of 2 weeks per month. Must be available a full 7 days in a row.
• Weekly schedule : Monday 7 : 00 AM through Monday 7 : 00 AM, including night and weekend call
• Weekday hours : 7 : 30 AM to 4 : 30 PM.
• Weekend call : Starts Friday at 4 : 30 PM and ends Monday at 7 : 00 AM.
• Evening call : Starts at 4 : 30 PM and ends the following morning at 7 : 30 AM.
• The provider would be in house Monday- Friday 7 : 30am-4 : 30pm, take call Monday-Friday for the night shift and then take weekend call through Monday morning.
• Average inpatient admissions per physician per day : Approximately 10, depending on inpatient consults.
• Total number of beds : 256.
• Number of ICU beds : 20.
• Cardiologists in the group : 3 non-invasive cardiologists.
• Other cardiologists will be present during locum coverage.
• Locum physician will supervise residents and medical students.
• Patient age demographic : 18 years and older.
• Documentation system / EMR : Currently Flex and Merge Cardio.
• Required procedures : Echocardiography, Transesophageal Echocardiography, Electrocardiograms (EKGs), and stress echo.
