This is a newly created role for a 1st time Financial Controller, what I mean by that is that you will get the title and opportunity to step up from management accounting, month end close to leading finance and operating as the number 2 in Finance. Supported by a Group Financial Controller, she wants to hire someone with real drive, determination and ambition. In her own words “someone who is brilliant but deep down knows they will never get given the next opportunity”. What makes this even more incredible is that she has been on that journey, she has sat there and thought the same so knows exactly what you need to elevate your skills to the next level.

Ideal person will be qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) and would love to build on post qual experience within a thriving tech business in Tameside. You will be given the chance to lead finance, shape the department and build your experience in an profitable and expanding business. No hiding place here, its fast paced, commercial and will constantly challenge you to enhance your skillset.

Key Responsibilities :

• Leading and mentoring a team of 4 (Finance Assistants & Purchase Ledger)
• Getting under the skin of the numbers – producing insightful management accounts, profitability reports, and variance analysis
• Keeping our finances sharp with balance sheet reconciliations, VAT returns, cash flow monitoring, and statutory reporting
• Driving continuous improvements in systems, processes, and controls
• Partnering with senior stakeholders (up to VP level) to support smart decision-making
• Being hands-on when needed, but also stepping back to coach, develop, and support your team
