Quality Director, Global Operational Excellence
The Quality Director, Global Operational Excellence role is responsible for providing expert leadership and guidance to those that manage and / or lead in operations and facilities (cross platform and function). The purpose of this position is to ensure alignment and direction for the Flowserve Quality Management System and its implementation in our operations and to monitor systems implementation consistency from a high level.
This position is located in the United States and reports directly to VP, HSEQS.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion culture change lead with purpose, core values, and behaviors to promote and fully imbed Quality Culture within all employees across Flowserve
- Support consistent execution of the Quality Management System within Operational Excellence including Quality Academy and Quality Maturity - and supporting programs, plans, policies, and procedures - to go beyond compliance requirements
- Support the continuous improvement of methodology for monitoring, measuring, and achieving Quality objectives to escapes and internal quality disruption through ongoing improvement programs to operationalize best in class Quality principles
- Prepare and analyze meaningful enterprise Quality performance metrics, prepare reports, and make recommendations with a focus on actions to improve, both on specific situations and systemic trends
- Define and execute quality system solutions deployment in coordination with other functions and their needs (ERP, PLM, SIOP, etc.)
- Interact with customers and suppliers on above-division quality issues and resolution of any problems that require enterprise action
- Promote and implement consistent accountability to quality through both the quality maturity assessment and problem / complaint management
- Lead standardization efforts to ensure all facilities within the enterprise operate under the same policies and procedures and are measured by the same performance metrics
- Provide guidance, coaching, mentoring, development, and leadership for direct and matrix Quality teams globally
Position Requirements
BS or BA Degree in relevant field and 10+ years relevant experienceAbility to influence, communicate, and collaborate at all organizational levelsEnterprise Quality Management experience, preferably within manufacturing environmentsEnterprise Quality Management Systems experience; working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systemsSupplier Quality management experienceManagement of or strong collaboration with - multi-national teamsSkilled in data analysis and quality KPI performance managementStrong organizational, time management, and planning skillsExperience in Procedure ManagementExpertise with MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPointPreferences
Geographically mobile for development opportunitiesPrior Quality experience in both field locations and corporate environments
