About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for its family office. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial reporting for the family office, managing the family real estate portfolio, and monitoring investment portfolios. This role also involves leading cash flow management, and liquidity planning, and ensuring clear financial communications with family members. The CFO will be expected to have a strong background in entrepreneurial settings, experience in mergers and acquisitions, and a hands-on approach to day-to-day financial operations.
Applicants for the CFO position at the family office should have a Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a CPA or MBA preferred. A minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting and finance, particularly in family offices, real estate, oil & gas, and nonprofit sectors, is strongly preferred. The role requires a deep understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and industry-specific compliance, especially in the oil & gas and foundation sectors. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of clear communication of complex financial information, high ethical standards, and proficiency in financial management and accounting systems. Responsibilities also include managing the financial aspects of the family foundation, ensuring compliance with IRS regulations, and collaborating on investment strategy and endowment management.
