Buffett Attendant

You belong at Marriott Fisherman's Wharf! We are looking for our next Buffett Attendant, who will ensure that each of our guest starts their day off right with a smooth, clean, and appetizing breakfast buffet experience.

For a meal, they may visit Red Fin Restaurant, or enjoy craft cocktails at Red Fin Lounge. And, with 9,082 sq. ft. of catering and events space, Marriott Fisherman's Wharf is the perfect location for corporate meetings or memorable events. Our team members work hard to ensure that every guest's stay is remarkable, every time.

Pay starts at $21.80 for the first 90 days. After successful completion of a 90-day probationary period, the wage increases to $29.06 / hr. This role is proudly represented by the UniteHERE Local 2 Union.

The Buffett Attendant is responsible for checking the levels of products in the buffet and reporting replacement needs to kitchen management.

Key Duties & Responsibilities :

  • The attendant will assist with proper storage of foods, maintaining clean and safe work areas, and ensuring that equipment and supplies are properly maintained and arranged
  • Assembling the buffet before mealtime and disassembling it thereafter
  • Ensuring that the buffet always remains well-stocked
  • Receiving beverage orders and directing these to the kitchen, as needed
  • Providing customers with condiments upon request
  • Ensuring that customers vacate the restaurant by the close of meal service
  • Cleaning and sanitizing tables and countertops after each meal service
  • Previous cooking experience and formal certification preferred
  • Possess basic culinary knowledge and ability to perform food service functions in a health care institution
  • Clearing cutlery and crockery from customers' tables
  • Resolving customers' queries and complaints
  • Sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping the floors after each meal service
  • Qualifications :

  • Physically fit and able to work
  • Strong eye for detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong understanding of cleaning chemicals and processes
  • Inventory management skills
  • Excellent at following workplace health and safety rules
  • Great at developing rapport with customers
