We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineering student to join our Tactical Radars & Effectors department in Fullerton California. The Tactical Radars and Effectors department supports the hardware development production and deployment of multiple defense products for Tactical Radars Effectors Command and Control Systems andNaval Systemsproducts. The products support domestic US Government customers at multiple Forces and Agencies including the Air Force Navy Army Missile Defense Agency and the US Coast Guard. The product lines also support multiple international customers through both US Government Foreign Military Sales and Direct Commercial Sales.

This position is an Onsite role where you will be working primarily in Fullerton California during Summer 2026.

What You Will Do

• Application of mechanical engineering fundamentals to challenging design problems.
• Creation or updates of technical documentation packages.
• Complete drawing designs as required operates engineering software and equipment and confers with stakeholders regarding engineering projects.
• Collaboration with hardware engineering teams.
• Mechanical engineering design utilizing CAD software.
• Support to manufacturing and production.
• Application of Raytheon hardware design processes and tools.

Onsite : Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 42000 USD - 88000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education / training and key skills.
