As part of our Chief Strategy Office, you'll help chart the strategic direction of a company operating at the intersection of tax technology, data, and innovationa mission-critical layer in the modern digital economy.

What You'll Do :

As an MBA / Graduate Strategy Intern, you'll operate as a key member of Vertex's Strategy & Innovation team, working directly with senior executives to drive initiatives that shape enterprise strategy, market positioning, and business growth.

You'll own distinct workstreams, synthesize insights, and deliver actionable recommendations to the Chief Strategy Officer, CEO, and other business leaders.

You will contribute to high-impact, cross-functional projects that typically include :

• Strategy Development : Lead strategic analyses and develop recommendations to inform long-term corporate priorities, growth initiatives, and business model evolution.
• Cross-functional Innovation : Build business cases for next-generation product, pricing, and go-to-market initiatives in partnership with Product Management, Marketing, and Finance.
• Market Analysis : Evaluate emerging technologies (AI, automation, blockchain) and competitive trends to identify inflection points and new market opportunities.
• C-suite and Board-level Communication : Develop board-level presentations and executive briefings that translate complex insights into clear, compelling narratives that drive decision-making.

US Base Salary Range : $28.00 - $31.00 Base pay offered to new hires may vary based upon factors including relevant industry and job-related skills and experience, geographic location, and business needs. The range displayed does not encompass the full potential of the role, which allows for further growth and career progression. In addition, as a part of our total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Vertex Bonus Plan (VOB), a role-specific sales commission / bonus, and / or equity grants.
