Provides preventative, chronic disease, and acute care depending on the need of the clinic site. Ensures proper injury care and disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. Prescribes and administers medications, performs routine vaccinations, and provides advice regarding personal health and hygiene. Interprets examination findings and test results and implements treatment plans. Refers patient to medical specialist or another practitioner when necessary. Completes medical record and electronic order management (via in basket); and completes cross coverage depending on site needs. Follows organization policies and procedures and protocols. Actively participates in multidisciplinary team approach to case management Participates in utilization and quality tools and activities that promote continuous improvement in delivery of patient care, patient outcomes or workflows. Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards. Job Overview
Fairview is seeking a Internal Medicine Physician to join our primary care practice at M Health Fairview Clinic Cottage Grove. Our clinic offers a welcoming, small-town feel while also providing patients with access to outstanding resources and system-wide support.
Practice Details :
- 9 provider primary care practice which includes 5 Primary Care Physicians and 4 Advanced Practice Providers.
- Patient encounters average 15-18 patients per day.
- Opening : 1.0 FTE - flexible schedule.
- Call Frequency : 1 : 3 low intensity - phone consultation only with first tier nurse triage
- Fully integrated Electronic Medical Record (EPIC).
- Examines, diagnoses and treats patients of all ages, for acute injuries, infections, illnesses and counsels' patients and families about acute and chronic conditions or concerns.
