Humanities Teacher (Geography Specialist) – Lead KS4 / 5 Fieldwork and Sustainable Curriculum – Jersey

A forward-thinking secondary school in Jersey is seeking an enthusiastic Humanities Teacher with a specialization in Geography

to join their dynamic team from January 2026.

  • Humanities Teacher (Geography Specialist) required from January 2026.

Jersey-based

school (Channel Islands) emphasizing global citizenship and sustainability.

  • Seeking a teacher to lead KS4 / 5 curriculum and fieldwork leveraging the island's unique environment.

    • You will teach Geography up to GCSE and A-Level, with the potential to teach another Humanities subject (e.g., History or RE). The role involves designing and leading local fieldwork experiences that utilize Jersey's unique coastal and human geography, promoting environmental awareness and sustainable practices.

    Experience and Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status ( QTS ) and a relevant degree in Geography or a related field.
  • Proven success in delivering engaging and high-achieving GCSE and A-Level Geography .
  • Experience in planning and safely leading fieldwork activities for secondary students.
  • Strong commitment to embedding contemporary issues like climate change and globalization in the curriculum.
