Job Title : Tax Manager

Job Location : Birmingham & Auburn, AL Office - Hybrid

Salary : $110,000-$150,000(DOE)

Requirements :   5+ Years of Public Accounting Tax

Position Overview

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Tax Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing tax compliance and consulting for our diverse client base, including C-Corps, S-Corps, and high-net-worth individuals. This role requires a strong understanding of tax regulations and the ability to provide strategic tax planning solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and review tax returns for individuals, partnerships, C-Corps, and S-Corps.
  • Provide tax planning and consulting services for various entities, including non-profits and real estate accounting.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
  • Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals in a public accounting environment.
  • Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize client financial positions.
  • Coordinate with clients to gather necessary tax information and documents.
  • Stay updated on current tax laws and changes impacting clients' tax situations.
  • Prepare and review estate and trust tax returns, ensuring compliance and planning opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; Master's in Taxation (MST) preferred.
  • CPA license or Enrolled Agent status required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting, focusing on tax.
  • Proficiency in tax software such as ProSystems and CCH Engagement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
