Project Description :
The Client is seeking a Solutions Architect to develop a comprehensive statewide analysis of the site-based telecommunication systems for all Judicial Branch locations including courthouses, division offices, and a centralized call center, to make recommendations for improvements and efficiencies, and to serve as an independent expert / resource to assist the Branch in making telecommunications-related decisions.
Scope of Services :
The ideal candidate will be able to contribute immediately to the following areas :
- Structure and complete a comprehensive analysis of current telecommunications in use within the Branch environment
- Provide market expertise and insight into call center technologies appropriate for use within the current Branch environment
- Assist MMU in the formulation of tactical and strategic plans related to Branch telecommunications systems
- Assist with effective troubleshooting and problem resolution as needed.
Minimum Qualifications :
In addition to the standard skills and experience for the job class, the ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications :
General Experience :
Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in telecommunications inclusive of systems design, Operations Systems Support (OSS), and systems managementStrong knowledge of IT infrastructure engineering principles, including network analysis, circuit design, and responsibilitiesProven history of providing expert advice on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in OSS and networkingExperience analyzing business processes, data, and requirements to identify opportunities for optimization and automationExperience in project planning with cross-functional teams to help design, develop, and deploy reliable voice communication solutions that meet the Branch's business needsExperience working with state agencies or other large governmental organization preferredTechnical Competencies :
Experience with analog voice communication, infrastructure, including PBX, PRI, channel banks, TDM circuits and related technologiesExperience with digital voice communication infrastructure, including VoIP, SIP, LTE and related technologiesFamiliarity with MPLS, Ethernet and IP wide-area network routing and switching with focus around wide-area network technologies like DMVPN, SD-WAN, and related technologiesKnowledge and expertise working with Avaya Cloud Office, Voice New England, and other Call Center SystemsProficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Windows operating systems and Linux operating systemsTimetable
The selected candidate may be able to join as soon as the onboarding process is completed. The position may be renewed periodically based upon a consultant's performance and the availability of funding.
A duty station will be assigned in Hartford, CT with opportunities for a flexible work schedule and intermittent remote work.
