Role Summary
Reporting to the IT Security Manager, the IT Security Administrator is a key member of the Information Technology team. The IT Security Administrator will be on the team responsible for managing all aspects of cybersecurity within The Kendall Group. As part of the IT Security team, the IT Security Administrator will provide input to all layers of the organization by providing secure processes and audits. Exciting work you will do : The essential duties and responsibilities of the IT Security Administrator will consist of, but are not limited to, the following :
- Administer and support cybersecurity standards
- Follow developed policies and procedures for verifying information security with a continuous improvement mindset
- Follow established communication protocols
- Respond to, mitigate, and log cybersecurity incidents
- Monitor the security tools, antivirus, backup, and disaster recovery systems within the organization
- Perform information system audits
- Participate in the design and execution of vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and security audits
- Administer, oversee, and audit user access controls and permissions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security requirements are met during software deployment
- Participate in the tactical response to emerging cyber threats, interpreting the implications of the threat(s), and devise plans for appropriate resolution
- Maintain anti-virus / endpoint protection
- Perform other duties as assigned

Work Experience : 2 years of security administration experience; strong knowledge of Information Security concepts; strong understanding of computer networking principlesEducation : Undergraduate degree, certification, or equivalent work experienceAnalytics / Computer Skills : Proficiency with modern security platforms and backup / recovery software; familiarity with industry standard security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST or NERC-CIPOrganization Skills : Highly organized and detail-oriented; ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed; ability to work in fast-paced, continuously evolving, and at times ambiguous environmentCross-functional skills : Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines; flexible and quickly adaptable to changing priorities; demonstrated problem-solving skills; ability to handle a large volume of phone callsCommunication Skills : Ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization; strong interpersonal and customer service skills; ability to present information in a manner that can be understood by non-technical staffPhysical, Mental and Visual Skills : The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
