Machine Operator - Grand Rapids $18 / hr Come work for a privately owned manufacturing company servicing the construction industry in Grand Rapids, MI. We like to have fun, yet get things done. • Candidates must have some experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably metal) with a strong focus on quality and teamwork.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, stock numbers and cut lists.
• Ability to use a tape measure.
• Ability to adjust saws to proper miters.
• Previous experience with Gravity Feed band saws.
• Previous iron work experience is preferred.
• Drill Press : Previous experience is helpful but not required.
• Bridge Port Mill : Previous experience is helpful but not required.
• Willing to learn how to operate pipe benders.
• Overhead crane experience is also desired, but not a deal breaker.
• Ability to clean areas and saws.
• Ability to organize materials.
• Able to read, write, and speak English.
• Trust-worthy, motivated self-starter who can work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Hours : shifts may vary based on workload.
