Job Description

The Debt Collection and Personal Injury Attorney will be employed directly by the corporate entity, ETA07, and will provide legal expertise supporting both debt collection and personal injury cases. This individual will handle litigation, negotiations, and compliance while working closely with company leadership and operational teams. The role requires strong courtroom presence, excellent negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of Texas law related to both collections and personal injury.

Key Responsibilities

Represent ETA07 in debt collection cases, including filing lawsuits, attending hearings, negotiating settlements, and ensuring compliance with applicable state and federal laws

Manage personal injury cases on behalf of ETA07 and its clients, from intake through resolution, including discovery, trial preparation, and litigation

Draft, review, and file legal documents, contracts, and correspondence related to collections and personal injury matters

Advise corporate leadership and collections teams on compliance with FDCPA, FCRA, HIPAA, and Texas debt collection laws

Conduct negotiations with debtors, insurance companies, and opposing counsel to secure favorable outcomes

Collaborate with internal teams to evaluate cases and determine when legal action is necessary

Maintain accurate legal case files, deadlines, and reporting in accordance with ETA07 corporate standards

Stay current on Texas state and federal laws impacting debt collection and personal injury practices through ongoing legal research

Uphold confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism when representing ETA07 and its divisions

Perform other legal duties as assigned by executive leadership

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Active license to practice law in the State of Texas (required)

2+ years of experience in debt collection litigation and / or personal injury law preferred

Strong working knowledge of FDCPA, FCRA, HIPAA, and Texas debt collection regulations

Demonstrated litigation, negotiation, and courtroom experience

Excellent research, analytical, and critical-thinking skills

Strong verbal and written communication abilities

Professionalism, discretion, and ethical judgment are essential

Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously with attention to deadlines
