Civil Engineer - Site Utility Design

Luxus Group | Syracuse, NY

Position Type : Full-Time

Salary : $90,000 - $115,000 per year (commensurate with experience and skills)

Reports To : Partners

Directed By : Partners / Associates / Project Managers

Position Summary :

Luxus Group seeks a New York State-licensed Civil Engineer with 10-15 years of experience, specializing in site utility design. This role requires expertise in a variety of project types and sizes, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of Architects, Landscape Architects, and Engineers. Projects include commercial, retail / office, hospitality, collegiate, medical, military, transit, and municipal work across New York State.

The Civil Engineer will take primary responsibility for delivering a full range of civil engineering services, from project inception to post-occupancy. This includes serving as the main point of contact for project stakeholders, including owners, consultants, code enforcement officials, and contractors. Construction Documents

Specification Writing
Document Checking and Coordination

Construction Contract Administration :

Bidding and Contract Negotiation

Construction Phase Office Support

Construction Phase Site Observation

Management :

Project Management

Client Relations

Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities :

Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D

Expertise in layout, planting, grading, storm conveyance systems, and stormwater management facility design

Strong graphic skills, including hand drawing and sketching (a plus)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work collaboratively with team members and consultants

Marketing skills are desirable

Education / Experience :

Demonstrated job knowledge and judgment

Strong oral, written, and graphic communication skills

Positive attitude and flexibility

High productivity and work quality

Effective client relations

10-15 years of relevant experience

Training :
