Job Summary
The call center representative works directly with patients and physicians to provide customer service for patients via telephone interactions. The call center representative will gather patient information, and schedule appointments. Call center representatives may fill in at the front desk occasionally.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls and assist with inquiries
- Schedule patient appointments
- Ensure patient information is accurate including billing information
- Inform patients of medical office procedures and policy
- Ensuring availability of treatment information by retrieving and updating patient records
- Send patient and referring providers information as needed
- Obtain external medical reports and maintain patient records as required by medical professionals
- Respond and comply with requests for information
- Maintain a clean and neat work space
- Additional duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma or Equivalent, or related experienceStrong interpersonal customer service skills, including effective listening, clear verbal and written communication, problem solving skillsAbility to master multiple software systems to input and retrieve dataAbility to master ophthalmology and retina terminologyPreferred Requirements
Previous experience in a medical practiceBilingual - SpanishEssential Job Functions
