Overview

CTG is seeking to fill an Engineer II (Cloud QA Engineer – Go / Terraform / AWS / GCP) opening for our client in Palo Alto, CA.

Location : Palo Alto, CA

Duration : Ongoing Contract

Duties :

Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites for public cloud platform and managed services (AWS / GCP).

Perform functional, regression, and performance testing of cloud-native services and infrastructure components.

Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to ensure CI / CD integration and test automation throughout the software delivery lifecycle.

Troubleshoot and diagnose issues in cloud-based environments, focusing on service reliability and performance.

Write high-quality, maintainable Go code for test automation and tooling.

Contribute to documentation of test plans, test cases, and test results for internal teams.

Skills :

Expertise with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and container orchestration platforms.

Strong proficiency in Go programming language .

Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.

Experience with functional, regression, and performance testing methodologies.

Proficiency in Linux operating systems and scripting.

Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins .

Version control knowledge with Git (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, SVN).

Experience in testing and automation on AWS and GCP platforms .

Experience :

3–5 years of experience in Quality Engineering with a focus on cloud-native applications and public cloud services.

Demonstrated success in developing and executing automated test frameworks and strategies in complex cloud environments.

Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.

Education :

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $88,000 to $95,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
