Experience with backup / recovery strategies and disaster recovery planning. Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes. Good knowledge of Linux / Unix environments and scripting. Exposure to Teradata Data Mover BAR (Backup Archive Restore). Knowledge of cloud-based Teradata solutions. Experience with BI tools and integration. Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
Job Description :
We are seeking an experienced Teradata Administrator to manage maintain and optimize Teradata environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in database administration performance tuning and troubleshooting in large-scale enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities-
- Install configure and upgrade Teradata Database systems.
- Manage Teradata utilities (BTEQ FastLoad MultiLoad TPT) for data loading and extraction.
- Perform performance tuning workload management and query optimization.
- Monitor system health capacity planning and implement proactive measures.
- Manage space allocation user access and security controls.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues ensuring high availability and reliability.
- Implement backup and recovery strategies using Teradata tools.
- Collaborate with development teams for schema design and query optimization.
- Maintain documentation for configurations processes and best practices.
