Estimated Weekly Pay : $1470-$1570

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse

Unit : Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)

Number of Beds : 14-22

Start Date : December 22, 2025

End Date : March 23, 2026

Duration : 13-week nursing contract

Shift : 7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM, 12-hour day shifts

Hours per Week : 36

Weekend Requirement : 4 weekend days every 4 weeks

Dress Code : Royal blue scrubs

EMR : Meditech

PICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state

BLS (Basic Life Support) certification – required

PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification – required

Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a PICU RN

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred

Strong clinical communication and teamwork skills

Ability to float to NICU Level 1 or 2 as needed

PICU RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to pediatric patients in the PICU

Monitor and manage critically ill children, including post-surgical care (cleft palate repair, appendectomy, thoracic cases, pectus bar implants)

Perform and assist with clinical procedures such as chest tube management and lumbar punctures

Manage seizure activity and provide noninvasive pediatric cardiology care

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Meditech EMR

Support a collaborative team environment focused on patient-centered care
