Job Description :
A well-established asset management firm with over $100 billion in AUM is seeking a Business Analyst to be responsible for supporting the business systems architecture for front and middle office functionality for public / private markets. This person will build and maintain the processes utilized by consultants and systems engineers.
This role has investment industry knowledge to allow for effective analysis, modeling, testing and system implementation.
Salary : Up to 110k base + 40% bonus
Location : Madison, WI (3 days / week for Madison residents OR
1 day / week for candidates traveling 1+ hour)
Responsibilities :
- Work with Technology Owners, Business Owners, and Operations to research and implement new solutions and identify the support needs of those solutions.
- Analyze Investment Management, Operations, and Technology teams’ needs, to ensure design, development, or deployment of software
- Serve as the architect for the investment management systems / applications including : test plans, scenarios, and procedures for new software implementation
- Identify gaps and risks in systems architecture, design, and projects. Make recommendations to business and Technology management minimizing these gaps / risks.
- Lead, facilitate, and coordinate the software or solution architecture and design (including, where applicable, the code needed) of solutions (e.g., applications and systems).
- Implement software testing, using either manual or automated programs and exploratory testing, and evaluate results, including documenting and reporting defects or problems with software and oversee future maintenance and upgrades
Requirements :
Bachelor’s Degree required with a preference focus within Information Systems, Computer Science or Finance.1+ years of investment management industry experience.Have in-depth knowledge of one or more third party ABOR / IBOR applications such as Simcorp Dimension, Eagle STAR / PACE or equivalents with a focus on the use of such systemsSubstantial knowledge of investment industry strategies, processes, and technologiesAbility to objectively influence successful outcomes and work cross-functionally.Ability to envision solutions, communicate those solutions and help form tangible outputs from those conceptual solutions.Detailed familiarity with common investment practices and securities.Ability to translate business requirements into technology specifications and design systems to meet the needs of the business.
