The Plumbing Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for managing the inventory of plumbing supplies and materials to ensure efficient operations for a plumbing business. This includes tasks like tracking stock levels, receiving and storing materials, fulfilling orders, and maintaining accurate records within inventory management systems. They also work closely with purchasing and other teams to ensure timely delivery and efficient material flow.

Monitoring and managing inventory levels to ensure adequate stock for daily operations, minimizing shortages and overstock situations.
Receiving, storing, and organizing materials, and fulfilling orders for plumbers and other field staff.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date inventory records, including tracking stock levels, locations, and costs.
Implementing efficient material handling processes to minimize waste and optimize space within the warehouse or storage area.
Conducting regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy of inventory records.
Collaborating with suppliers on ordering, receiving, and resolving any issues related to deliveries or product quality.
Generating reports on inventory levels, discrepancies, and other key metrics to inform decision-making.
Ensuring compliance with safety procedures and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Working closely with other teams, such as purchasing, accounting, and project management, to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
Identifying and resolving issues related to inventory discrepancies, damaged goods, or supply chain disruptions.
Skills and Qualifications :
Strong understanding of inventory control principles and practices.
Ability to maintain accurate records and manage a large volume of materials.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with various teams and suppliers.
Ability to identify and resolve inventory-related issues.
Proficiency in using inventory management software and other relevant tools.
Ability to lift and move materials, and work in a warehouse or storage environment.
Experience operating a forklift may be required in some roles.
