About the Role
The Company is seeking a President to lead its strategic growth and transition. The successful candidate will be tasked with building and scaling a new sales function to drive top-line growth, implementing KPIs and structured sales processes, and leading the business with full P&L responsibility. This role is pivotal in the company's vision to increase sales and profit margins, with a clear focus on reaching a $15M revenue target. The President will also be responsible for managing the engineering and operational teams, working closely with the owner on the buyout transition, and ensuring operational excellence during the process of replacing long-term leadership.
Candidates for the President role at the company should have a proven track record in building sales teams and processes within manufacturing businesses, with a background in powdered metals or friction / braking / clutch product manufacturing being highly desirable. The ideal candidate will be a sales-driven and operationally astute leader, capable of managing change and transition with discipline and decisiveness. Experience in businesses with revenue of $10M or more and a strong focus on strategic growth execution are essential. The role presents the opportunity to lead a legacy manufacturing business through transformation and growth, and to partner closely with the owner in planning for a future exit. Key challenges include developing a sales organization in a previously sales-light environment, managing financial pressures, and ensuring operational continuity during the leadership transition.
