Responsibilities

Description

Peraton is seeking a mid-level Network Administrator. This position includes designing implementing and maintaining computer networks such as LANs and WANs ensuring they are secure efficient and reliable for daily operations. Mid-level duties often involve managing hardware like routers and firewalls monitoring network performance resolving connectivity issues applying updates and assisting with network expansions and security measures like VPNs. They also oversee backup and disaster recovery plans and may provide guidance to less technical staff on network use and security best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Network Management : Install configure and maintain network hardware (routers switches firewalls) and software for LANs WANs and intranets.
• Performance & Security : Monitor network performance troubleshoot issues and implement security measures to protect against cyber threats and unauthorized access.
• User Support : Resolve network connectivity issues manage user accounts and access and provide technical support to employees.
• System Updates & Maintenance : Deploy updates patches and firmware to network devices and perform regular maintenance to ensure system stability.
• Planning & Expansion : Assist with planning network expansions evaluate capacity and implement new features or hardware as needed.
• Documentation & Reporting : Maintain records of network operations document issues and generate reports on network health and performance.

Target Salary Range

$51000 - $82000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position the individuals experience education knowledge skills and competencies as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position employees may be eligible for overtime shift differential and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
