Security Officer

On-Site Position - Columbus, OH

Summary

The Security Officer will report directly to the Security Operations Coordinator. The Security Officer will perform routine tasks relating to security operations, customer service, and incident response. The Security Officer will work collaboratively with the Security Operations Coordinator to maintain a safe and secure environment while providing excellent customer service to employees and visitors.

Primary Functions

• Conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure all areas are secure and properly locked.
• Monitor security surveillance systems for Surge HQ to identify and respond to any suspicious activities or breaches.
• Provide a welcoming and professional presence at entry points, greeting employees, visitors, and vendors.
• Support reception-related tasks including visitor processing and email and telephone communication.
• Enforce company security policies and procedures related to security, physical access, and visitor management.
• Escort contractors throughout the facility during interim visit, as necessary.
• Compile and send incident reports to the Security Operations Coordinator.
• Facilitate emergency action plan procedures during emergency situations.
• Ability to multitask and must be open to different challenges each day.
• All other duties that may arise to ensure the successful operation of the company.
