About the Role

The Company is seeking a President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead its economic development initiatives. The successful candidate will be a passionate spokesperson and civic leader, responsible for elevating the organization's visibility and influencing public policy to drive business attraction and retention in the region. Key responsibilities include strategic leadership, business development, stakeholder engagement, organizational management, and policy advocacy. The role demands a visionary leader with a proven track record in progressive leadership, outstanding relationship-building skills, and the ability to work with a diverse set of interests while remaining non-political. The President & CEO will also be tasked with overseeing all aspects of the organization, including strategic planning, board relations, staff leadership, and fiscal management. Applicants for the President & CEO position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' experience in leadership roles, with a background in economic development, site selection, or business attraction and expansion. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred) and a CEcD is a plus. They must demonstrate exceptional communication skills, business and financial acumen, and a proven ability to generate revenue for priority initiatives. The role requires an inclusive leader with a strong sense of integrity, character, and ethics, capable of working effectively with a board of directors and a diverse set of stakeholders. The President & CEO will be expected to have a deep understanding of modern economic and community development practices and a commitment to the long-term sustainability and growth of the region.
