At Franciscan our Paramedic Educators are responsible for delivering comprehensive instruction to diverse groups of adult learners in emergency medical services. In this role you will emphasize on effective educational strategies, curriculum development, and assessment of student competencies.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

Assist with the coordination of the EMT and Paramedic program, including conducting interviews, policies, syllabi, and student clinicals.

Prepare educational lesson planning and delivery of lessons.

Track student grades, attendance, and progress, utilizing data to inform educational strategies and address remediation and disciplinary concerns.

Ensure effective teaching methodologies, testing, and remediation efforts are in place to support student success.

Foster relationships with various hospital departments to align EMS education with clinical practice and healthcare standards.

Coordinate the maintenance and availability of classroom and lab equipment and supplies, ensuring a conducive learning environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required High School Diploma / GED or high school diploma

Preferred Associate's Degree Paramedic

Preferred Bachelor's Degree Education or related

3 years Experience as a Paramedic Required

2 years Experience in EMS education or training Required

Licensed Paramedic (PARA) - State Licensing Board IN Department of Homeland Security

Paramedic (PARA) - State Licensing Board Primary Instructor Certification

Basic Life Support Instructor (BLSINST) - American Heart Association

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Instructor (ACLSINS) - American Heart Association

Pediatric Advanced Life Support Instructor (PALSI) - American Heart Association

TRAVEL IS REQUIRED : Never or Rarely
