To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Implement inventory control strategies, policies, and procedures to effectively manage inventory levels, minimize stockouts, and reduce excess inventory.
  • Maintain inventory tracking systems and procedures to ensure accurate and timely recording of inventory transactions.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts, physical inventories, and reconciliation processes to identify and resolve any discrepancies or variances.
  • Lead and verify results of departmental responsibilities of the Inventory Control team
  • Maintain total quantity of each SKU in each warehouse
  • Synchronize inventory quantity between AS400, Infor, Intek, and Warehouse Librarian Responsible for immediate counts, cycle counts, and posting of inventory accounting transactions.
  • Identify and evaluate “dead” inventory and develop plan of action
  • Manage work time and schedules to the best advantage
  • Audit and maintain accurate UPC information on all SKUs Create and oversee a structured Cycle Count program
  • Investigate and identify root causes (how and why) for inventory shrink, including process failures, user error and data inaccuracy
  • Update all new SKU slotting in the warehouse
  • Maintain inventory adjustments of

Do you have the following qualifications?

  • Computer knowledge of MS Office Programs – Excel, Word, Access, Outlook and Crystal reports, INFOR AS400 Experience including Query, WLIB, Flow Chart
  • Knowledge of general purchasing and inventory control procedures
  • Math skills for computing ratios and percentages
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Plan, organize, and schedule workload to meet deadlines
  • Prepare monthly reports and forecasts
  • Your education & experience should be similar to :

  • HS diploma / GED required; Associate’s degree in Operations, Business, Supply Chain Management or related discipline desired (will consider equivalent combination of education and work experience)
  • 5+ years of experience related to Operations, Supply Chain, Wholesale Distribution, and Purchasing
  • Warehouse Librarian Certification, preferred
  • Working conditions :

  • Office and Warehouse environment
  • Some vibrations and noise from forklift and or other equipment
  • May occasionally work near some moving mechanical parts such as lifts
  • May encounter some outdoor weather conditions

    The required physical abilities to perform this job :

  • Some hands and finger dexterity for the use of equipment
  • Close visual work on a computer terminal
  • Able to hear and speak into telephone, close visual work on a computer terminal, dexterity of hands and fingers to operate keyboard, mouse, other technical instruments and warehouse equipment.
  • Occasional reaching and carrying with hands and arms, ability to lift and carry 60 pounds.
