Job Title : Civil / Structural Engineer III Location : Lake Mary, FL Type : Direct Hire Compensation : $100000 - $125000 annually Work Model : Onsite Engineer III, Civil & Structural Overview A leading engineering organization is seeking an experienced Engineer III – Civil / Structural to support and lead complex structural design efforts across a diverse portfolio of industrial and energy related projects. This mid level engineering role is ideal for professionals who excel in technical execution, cross functional collaboration, and guiding project deliverables from concept through completion. The Engineer III will serve as a key technical contributor performing advanced structural analysis, preparing critical design documents, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring all work aligns with engineering best practices, safety standards, and project goals. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and perform advanced structural engineering design and analysis for steel structures, equipment supports, and concrete foundations
• Review structural calculations, models, drawings, and technical documentation prepared by junior engineers and designers
• Gather, interpret, and integrate complex design criteria from clients, suppliers, and internal engineering groups
• Develop and review technical requirements supporting proposals, project bids, and commercial packages
• Review customer specifications and produce detailed technical clarifications, deviations, and compliance documentation
• Prepare and evaluate project budgets, engineering estimates, and technical scopes of work
• Plan, monitor, and review project deliverables ensuring documentation, schedules, and equipment needs meet requirements
• Collaborate with suppliers to procure cost effective and technically compliant design information and pricing
• Ensure all structural arrangement and foundation interface requirements are coordinated and accurate
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to align design interfaces and resolve technical gaps
• Identify nonconformances and implement corrective actions to improve quality, performance, and delivery
• Represent the engineering function in meetings with clients, vendors, and project partners
• Ensure all work is completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with relevant codes, standards, and company procedures Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in structural or civil engineering design
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred; experience with rotating equipment foundations, heavy industrial projects, or energy sector design is a plus
• Strong working knowledge of structural codes and standards including ASCE 7, IBC, AISC 360, ACI 318, OSHA
• Additional familiarity with AISC 341, ACI 351, DIN 4024, ISO 1940 is advantageous
• Ability to manage technical tasks independently and provide guidance to junior engineers
• Strong communication skills and ability to interface with clients and cross functional teams
• Ability to travel up to 10 percent Preferred Software Experience
• Smart Plant 3D and Revit experience with integrated 3D model development and extraction of technical details
• STAAD, SAP2000, and GT STRUDL experience with structural design and analysis tools
