Job Title : Patient Service Representative
Location : Nashville, TN
Pay Rate : $18.00 - $24.00 per hour (based on experience)
Hours : Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Job Summary :
We are seeking an experienced and professional Patient Service Representative to join our team in Nashville, TN. This role plays a key part in ensuring patients receive exceptional service during the scheduling and registration process. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, healthcare experience, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Patient Scheduling : Schedule appointments for specialty and primary care clinics primarily via phone, with occasional face-to-face scheduling for outpatient services.
Registration : Perform pre-registration and / or emergency department or outpatient registration duties, which may include direct patient interaction depending on assignment.
Referrals : Support referral coordination as needed to ensure seamless patient care.
Professionalism & Pace : Manage a high volume of calls and appointments (approximately 30-40 per day) while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and superior customer service.
Qualifications :
Minimum 2 years of healthcare customer service experience .
Excellent verbal communication skills with a clear and professional phone demeanor.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Proven ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
