Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Current ARRT required.
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) required
  • Current, valid, and active certification to practice as a Radiology Tech in the state of employment required.
  • Two (2) years of recent experience required.
  • State Fluoroscopy license required where applicable.
  • Current, valid, and active driver’s license required.
  • Ability to travel using publicly available air and ground transportation
  • Recent acute care experience for acute care and LTAC placements
  • Certificates, Licensures, Registrations

  • Current ARRT required.
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) required
  • Current, valid, and active certification to practice as a Radiology Tech in the state of employment required.
  • Current BLS certification from a Vibra Travles-approved vendor required,
  • AHA preferred and required by some clients.
  • ACLS may be required by some clients.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience scrubbing for cardiac cath procedures
  • State Fluoroscopy license required where applicable.
  • Additional Qualifications / Skills :

  • Patient Preparation and Positioning : Accurately position patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and safety while adhering to radiation protection protocols.
  • Equipment Operation : Operate and maintain imaging equipment, including fluoroscopy, CT scanners, and ultrasound machines, to obtain high-quality images.
  • Assistance During Procedures : Assist physicians during interventional procedures by providing necessary instruments and supplies, and by maintaining a sterile environment.
  • Contrast Media Administration : Prepare and administer contrast media under the direction of a physician, following established protocols.
  • Image Evaluation and Archiving : Evaluate images for technical quality and ensure proper archiving in the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS)
  • Patient Monitoring : Monitor patients during procedures, observing for any complications or unusual events, and report findings to the physician.
  • Preferred Skills & Attributes :

  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
  • Ability to remain calm and efficient in high-stress, emergent situations
  • Familiarity with common cath lab and IR imaging systems
  • Detail-oriented and organized
