We are looking for a skilled Systems Administrator to manage and optimize IT infrastructure for our organization in San Diego, California. This role involves handling advanced technical challenges, designing scalable systems, and ensuring smooth operations across various platforms. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of server environments, networking, and cloud technologies, paired with strong problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities :
- Design and implement secure and scalable IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues involving virtualization, firewalls, and hybrid cloud setups.
- Lead migration projects such as transitioning from Exchange to Office 365 or on-premises systems to Azure.
- Automate system processes using PowerShell and other scripting tools to enhance efficiency.
- Develop and enforce security protocols and operational standards to safeguard IT systems.
- Provide mentorship to less experienced technicians and oversee the escalation of technical issues.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of solutions and contribute to internal best practices.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to align IT solutions with business needs.
- Monitor and optimize system performance to ensure high availability and reliability of services.
- At least 5 years of experience in enterprise IT environments or similar roles.
- Expertise in managing Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365, Azure, and networking systems.
- Proficiency in working with firewalls such as SonicWall or Fortinet, VLANs, and VPNs.
- Advanced skills in PowerShell scripting and automation tools.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities, along with excellent documentation skills.
- Relevant certifications like Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, or Azure are highly preferred.
- Familiarity with Dell and Citrix technologies is a plus.
- Solid understanding of Windows 10 and its integration within enterprise environments.
