Software Engineer - Embedded Systems

Join a cross-functional team developing and testing embedded systems that support mission-critical Land & Air Systems technologies, helping to keep our service members and nation secure.

Responsibilities :

  • Lead the full software development lifecycle for embedded systems including requirements analysis, design, coding, integration, and testing.
  • Develop and maintain embedded software using C, C++, and Python in Linux and RTOS environments.
  • Perform hardware / software integration, ensuring seamless performance of embedded systems.
  • Apply DO-178 software engineering standards throughout development.
  • Contribute to Agile-based project planning, execution, and reviews.
  • Support technical documentation and formal verification processes in compliance with defense / aerospace requirements.

Qualifications :

  • U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law.
  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or related STEM field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience (or 6+ years with a Master's).
  • Active DoD Secret clearance required at time of hire.
  • Proficient in C, C++, and Python for embedded software development.
  • Strong experience with Linux, RTOS, and hardware / software integration.
  • Familiarity with DO-178 or similar safety-critical software life cycles.
  • Agile development experience preferred.
  • On-site work or travel may be required depending on project needs.
